100% chance of improving your prospects
Introduction to the Programme:
Our paid summer internships last for 9 weeks. They are designed to give you an insight into our business, an understanding of our culture and an invaluable opportunity to help us forge lasting legacies with worthy causes through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
During your placement, you will be contributing to our business and taking on real responsibility. You will be supported by a ‘buddy’, a mentor and comprehensive training to give you the necessary technical knowledge and business skills. In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility policies, we’ll also challenge you to ‘make a difference’. You’ll be involved in group charity projects which help local communities which will allow you to demonstrate your ability to work with clients, as well as develop team working and communication skills.
Around our businesses, internship programmes are viewed as a high-potential pipeline for our graduate programmes. As an intern, you will be fully supported by the people you meet to maximise your exposure to our business and help you to get the most out of your time with us.
During summer 2014, Aon UK internships will be running in the following Streams:
- Actuarial Consulting – Pensions
- Actuarial Consulting - General Insurance
- Investment Consulting
- Insurance, Reinsurance and Risk Management
- Financial Benefits Advisory
Please refer to the information and profiles of our individual Graduate Programmes to learn more detail about the work we do.
Training and development:
During your placement, you will be contributing to our business, taking on real responsibilities and having to manage your work effectively. You will be assigned a mentor to help guide you through your placement and answer any questions you have about your work and our business.
Technical training and business skills will be a core part of your programme, ensuring you leave us with a better understanding of the professional world and how best to make your way in it.
Although an internship does not guarantee a place on our Graduate Programme, a significant proportion of our summer interns have gone on to successfully embark on a career with us.
If you are at university, predicted to gain at least a 2:1 or equivalent qualification, and have a high level of commercial awareness, lots of ambition and an enthusiastic approach, we want to hear from you.
Aon summer internships have always proved very popular, so please ensure you research your application thoroughly in order to be considered.
